Project Overview

This bungalow interior design project reimagines a single-level home into a cohesive, light-filled, and highly functional living environment. The design approach focused on clarity of layout, balanced proportions, and long-term livability—ensuring that each space flows naturally while maintaining its own purpose and identity. The open-concept plan connects the kitchen, dining, and living areas through carefully framed transitions rather than fully open boundaries. Architectural detailing, consistent flooring, and aligned sightlines create a sense of openness while preserving spatial definition. This strategy enhances circulation and allows natural light to travel throughout the home, reinforcing a calm and welcoming atmosphere. The kitchen serves as a central anchor, featuring a symmetrical island layout, custom cabinetry, integrated appliances, and layered lighting. Material selections emphasize durability and visual continuity, combining soft neutral finishes with subtle texture in the backsplash and millwork details. Island seating and clear work zones support both daily functionality and social interaction. Adjacent spaces were designed with flexibility in mind. A custom built-in study and storage wall provides an efficient workspace without disrupting the overall visual rhythm, while a dedicated reading nook near the window adds comfort and character. Dining areas were styled with clean lines and sculptural lighting to create a refined yet approachable setting for everyday use. Throughout the home, thoughtful zoning, integrated storage solutions, and restrained material choices work together to support modern living within a bungalow footprint.
