Project Overview

This flooring and staircase renovation was designed to improve circulation, safety, and visual continuity throughout the home. The project focused on transforming the staircase and surrounding floor areas, creating a cleaner, more open interior while maintaining long-term durability for everyday living. The staircase renovation features warm wood treads, crisp white risers, and slim black metal balusters, replacing the original traditional design with a more modern and refined architectural presence. A gently curved entry step softens the transition at the base of the staircase, improving both comfort and flow. Consistent proportions and simplified detailing enhance openness while ensuring safety across all levels. Throughout the main floor and second-floor hallway, wide-plank flooring was installed to unify the space visually and eliminate abrupt material changes. The continuous flooring treatment strengthens sightlines and allows natural light to travel more freely between levels. Recessed ceiling lighting further enhances brightness while keeping the overall design clean and uncluttered. By aligning the staircase finishes with the new flooring, this renovation creates a cohesive, balanced interior that feels both modern and timeless.
