Oakville Interior Renovation

Before the renovation, this bathroom in Oakville showed clear signs of age. The existing floor and wall tiles appeared outdated, and the traditional four-piece bathroom layout lacked visual balance and design cohesion. The shower fixtures and ventilation system were also no longer aligned with modern standards. New Layout & Space Optimization The original drywall shower enclosure was removed and expanded, then replaced with a frameless tempered glass shower to create a more open and contemporary feel. The built-in bathtub was upgraded to a freestanding bathtub, which helped free up valuable floor space. By reconfiguring the layout, the vanity area was extended to provide a longer and more functional countertop, significantly improving daily usability. Color Palette & Style The bathroom now features a modern and timeless combination of grey porcelain floor tiles, white subway tiles in the shower area, and a wood-grain vanity. This balanced mix of neutral tones and natural textures creates a clean, elegant, and modern bathroom aesthetic. Lighting Design Lighting plays a key role in this modern bathroom renovation. An LED light strip installed beneath the vanity, paired with an LED mirror, enhances both functionality and atmosphere, serving as the perfect finishing touch to the overall design. Material Selections Floor Tile: Grey Matte Lemmy Nimbus, Centura Tile, 24" × 24" Shower Floor Tile: Grey Matte Lemmy Nimbus, Centura Tile, 24" × 24" Shower Wall Tile: Sfumature Bianco POL Plain and Textured Subway Tile

Markham Whole Home Renovation Open Concept House Transformation

This Markham whole home renovation is one of our recent large-scale residential transformation projects completed in the Greater Toronto Area. The homeowners wanted to modernize the entire main and second floor while creating a brighter, more functional layout that better suited their family's lifestyle. Their vision was to transform an older compartmentalized home into a contemporary open-concept living space with improved flow, increased natural light, and upgraded finishes throughout. To achieve this goal, our team removed two load-bearing walls on the main floor and completed the required structural reinforcement. By opening up the existing layout, we created a spacious Open Concept design that seamlessly connects the kitchen, dining area, and living space. For the interior design direction, we selected a timeless combination of natural wood tones and crisp white cabinetry. This warm yet modern palette creates a clean and inviting atmosphere while maintaining long-term resale appeal. The new kitchen became the focal point of the home, featuring: • Large custom island • Floor-to-ceiling pantry storage • Custom cabinetry • Stone slab backsplash • Premium countertop surfaces • Modern lighting fixtures A custom fireplace feature wall was also designed and built in the family room to create a sophisticated visual centerpiece while complementing the overall design language of the home. One of the most significant upgrades took place on the second floor. Originally configured as a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom layout, the home was redesigned into a 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom configuration. This transformation greatly improved functionality and privacy for the family while increasing the property's overall value. Additional upgrades included: • Custom curved staircase renovation • Luxury bathroom remodels • Custom built-in cabinetry • Large-format flooring installation • Laundry room redesign • Feature wall millwork and architectural detailing The completed renovation successfully transformed the property into a modern luxury residence while preserving the warmth and comfort of a family home. Following the completion of the first and second floor renovation, the homeowners were so pleased with the results that they have decided to move forward with a future basement renovation project with our team. Whether you are planning a Toronto renovation, Markham whole home renovation, kitchen renovation, bathroom renovation, or open-concept remodeling project, careful planning, structural expertise, and quality craftsmanship are essential to achieving exceptional results. Toronto Interior Design Service | Aurora New Home Upgrade Project

Toronto Interior Design Service | Aurora New Home Upgrade Most newly built homes in Toronto are delivered with standard builder finishes. While functional, these spaces often lack thoughtful layout, storage planning, and cohesive design. This Aurora 3000 sqft. home upgrade project, completed by Reno Compass, focuses on interior design-driven improvements — transforming a basic layout into a refined and highly functional living space. Design Approach Instead of simply upgrading finishes, this project began with a full interior design strategy. The goal was to enhance both usability and visual harmony across the home. Key Design Highlights 1. Kitchen Layout Optimization The kitchen was redesigned to improve workflow and maximize usability. A large island was introduced as the central feature, providing both workspace and social interaction. Full-height cabinetry enhances storage while maintaining a clean and seamless look. 2. Custom Built-in Storage Design Throughout the home, custom cabinetry was implemented to solve common new home limitations. From the living room feature wall to the mudroom entry system, each storage solution was designed to balance function and aesthetics. 3. Coffered Ceiling Enhancement A coffered ceiling was added to elevate the overall spatial experience. This architectural detail brings depth, structure, and a more finished look to the main living area. 4. Functional Space Planning Special attention was given to everyday usability — optimizing movement flow, improving entryway efficiency, and ensuring each area supports modern living needs. Why Interior Design Matters for New Homes Many homeowners assume a new house is “move-in ready.” However, without proper interior design: Storage is often insufficient Layout may not suit daily routines Spaces lack visual depth and identity Professional interior design services help bridge that gap — turning a standard house into a personalized, livable home. Design Summary This project embraces a soft cream and wood-toned aesthetic, creating a warm, modern, and timeless environment. It demonstrates how thoughtful interior design can significantly enhance both comfort and property value. Location: Toronto Contractor: Reno Compass Inc.
