Project Overview

This project is a full interior renovation designed and built by Reno Compass. Working within the existing structure of the home, the goal was to create a modern living environment that balances visual refinement, everyday functionality, and long-term comfort through thoughtful space planning and detail optimization. The overall design approach focuses on spatial continuity. Public areas share a consistent visual language and circulation logic, achieved through unified flooring, soft neutral wall tones, and rhythmically layered lighting. These elements allow the living room, hallways, and functional zones to connect naturally while maintaining clear spatial definition. The introduction of arched openings softens rigid linear transitions, adding architectural character and a sense of elegance to the interior. The living room is anchored by a fireplace feature wall that serves as the visual focal point of the space. Custom wall detailing and a balanced, symmetrical layout establish a stable and timeless proportion. Furniture selection prioritizes both scale and comfort, supporting daily use as well as extended family gatherings. A combination of ambient and accent lighting ensures the space remains layered and welcoming throughout different times of day. The lower level was reconfigured into a multi-functional leisure area. Custom built-in shelving with integrated lighting enhances storage while providing display and reading functions. The home theater zone features darker wall finishes, carefully planned equipment placement, and comfortable viewing distances, creating a private and immersive entertainment environment suited to a variety of household needs. Bathroom spaces were designed according to different usage scenarios, with a focus on simplicity, durability, and ease of maintenance. Frameless glass showers, linear drains, large-format tiles, and selective hex tile accents introduce visual interest while maintaining clean lines. Fixtures and fittings were chosen for long-term performance rather than decorative excess. Throughout the design and construction process, the project remained centered on long-term livability. Through clear zoning, integrated storage solutions, restrained material selection, and consistent construction detailing, the home delivers a refined interior that not only presents well upon completion but continues to perform gracefully over time.
