Project Overview

How many wishes can one basement fulfill? A bar, pool table area, home gym, and a private home theatre — all in one space. With the Christmas holidays just around the corner, imagine inviting a few friends over, enjoying a couple of drinks, playing pool, and ending the night with a movie. Pure perfection. Today, we’re excited to share a recently completed basement renovation project designed entirely around entertainment and lifestyle. Layout This basement spans 1,790 sq ft with a 9-ft ceiling height. The overall design follows an open-concept layout, featuring a 3-piece bathroom, fitness area, pool and entertainment zone, dual bars, and a dedicated home theatre. Bar Area Thanks to the generous size of the basement, we designed two bar areas. The main bar with an island is located near the home theatre and pool area, making it ideal for hosting guests. The second bar is placed in the fitness area for convenience during workouts. A dual-bar setup truly doubles the fun. Bathroom A basement wouldn’t be complete without a 3-piece bathroom. Gold-tone fixtures were selected to add a touch of elegance and contrast. Pool & Fitness Area A three-sided electric fireplace was installed beside the pool table as a visual focal point, paired with cement-tone background tiles. In the gym area, we added two custom fitness mirrors — one for adults and one for kids — along with a ceiling-mounted TV, making workouts and entertainment possible at the same time. Home Theatre Lighting Lighting plays a key role in any home theatre. To enhance the cinematic and modern feel, we installed embedded LED lighting across the ceiling and walls in an irregular pattern. The connected ceiling-to-wall LED design significantly elevates the tech vibe. Six wall sconces were also added to provide soft illumination without affecting the viewing experience. The walls of the theatre are finished in deep ocean blue to minimize light reflection and improve visual performance. For flooring, carpet is a must in any home theatre. Compared to hard flooring, carpet offers better sound absorption, improved acoustics, and a much more comfortable underfoot feel. 📋 Material List Bar Cabinets: AGT 728 Vanity: AGT 728 Interior Doors: Three Panel Door Home Theatre Door: Five Panel Barn Door Home Theatre Carpet: Sultana II Home Theatre Wall Sconces: Page One – Pandora Box

This project is a complete commercial renovation for a trendy bubble tea shop, delivered by a professional Toronto renovation company, Reno Compass Inc. The scope of work included interior demolition, layout reconfiguration, lighting upgrades, flooring replacement, custom counter installation, and overall space optimization to enhance both brand image and operational efficiency. Richmond Hill Interior Renovation
Interior Renovation

Richmond Hill Interior Renovation

This interior renovation is a comprehensive European-style residential project encompassing the kitchen, living room, dining area, entry hall, corridors, and shared transitional spaces. Rather than relying on decorative layering, the design is structured around architectural proportion, axial alignment, and a consistent system of classical detailing. Public spaces are organized along clear visual axes, where doorways, hallways, and primary rooms are carefully aligned to guide movement and establish spatial order. Wall panelling, door casings, and ceiling transitions are executed within a unified architectural language, ensuring consistency in scale and detailing throughout the interior. The entry hall and circulation areas emphasize symmetry and material balance, creating a composed and formal arrival sequence. The kitchen features custom European-style cabinetry with full-height elevations, a bespoke hood surround, and stone countertops, balancing functional efficiency with architectural completeness. Living and dining spaces are anchored by key structural elements, including a marble fireplace, coffered ceiling, and crystal chandelier, which define spatial hierarchy and vertical emphasis. Overall, this renovation reflects a disciplined approach to European interior design, prioritizing structure, craftsmanship, and long-term residential quality within a high-end Richmond Hill home. Aurora Kitchen Renovation

At Reno Compass, we transformed this Aurora kitchen from a closed and inefficient layout into a bright, open, and highly functional space designed for modern family living. The original kitchen lacked flow and usable storage, so the renovation focused on improving circulation, increasing countertop space, and creating a cleaner, more cohesive visual experience. Highlights include: 1. Optimized Open Layout: The existing layout was reconfigured to enhance movement and sightlines throughout the kitchen. By streamlining the cabinetry arrangement and improving spacing around key work zones, the new design feels more open, balanced, and comfortable for everyday use. 2. Custom Cabinetry & Storage Solutions: Full-height custom cabinetry provides ample storage while maintaining a clean, uncluttered look. Integrated drawers and concealed storage areas improve organization and make daily cooking more efficient. 3. Refined Surface Selections: Durable countertops and backsplash materials were selected for both visual consistency and easy maintenance. The neutral palette enhances natural light and creates a timeless, elegant kitchen environment. 4. Seamless Appliance Integration: Built-in appliances are carefully integrated into the cabinetry, resulting in a streamlined appearance that keeps the kitchen visually calm while maximizing functionality. 5. Bright, Minimalist Finishes: Light-toned finishes and a cohesive color scheme contribute to a warm yet modern atmosphere, making the kitchen feel inviting without overwhelming the space. This Aurora kitchen renovation demonstrates how thoughtful planning and design expertise can transform an outdated kitchen into a practical, stylish gathering space that supports everyday life and long-term comfort.
